preferences if you sign up to our newsletter

• Newsletter information: if you open this and links clicked

• Donor financial information and contact details

• Website usage stats – information on how you use the site and IP address

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the
following reasons:

• For the admission of patients into our care

• Signing up to our newsletter

• Becoming a donor

• Purchases from our website

 

Why we need your data:
We use the information that you have given us in order to carry out any activity relating to
the provision of our service to you.

 

Sharing your data:
We may share your personal data with you and where appropriate, any representative. We
will not share your data unless required to do so by law or unless we have your consent.

How we store your personal information
 

Your information is securely stored and will only be retained for as long as is necessary for
the purposes outlined in this document or for as long as the law requires us to:

- We keep service user details for 6 months.
- Financial information are required by law to be kept for 6 years after the end of the
last financial year
- Gift Aid records are required by law to be kept for 6 years after last transaction/gift.
- Email data for newsletter – until you unsubscribe
 

After these time scales, your personal data will either be anonymised or destroyed/deleted.

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you
think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is
incomplete.

processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of
your personal information in certain circumstances.
Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal
information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we
have one month to respond to you.
