Walk for Wildlife - Sponsored Walk to raise money for our Wildlife Ambulance Service!
Three dedicated staff members from Oxfordshire Wildlife Rescue are taking on an incredible challenge: climbing Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) horseshoe ridge circular walk, covering 4 peaks, 15 km, and nearly 3000ft elevation - all in full wildlife medic gear!
Their mission? To raise vital funds to repair one of their wildlife rescue ambulances, a lifeline for thousands of injured and orphaned animals every year.
From rescuing the smallest mice to the largest fallow deer, the ambulance is crucial for ensuring wildlife in need gets the care they deserve. Every step they take up the mountain will help bring them closer to their goal of keeping this essential service on the road.

They will be undertaking this on the 1st March 2025. We will also be inviting our amazing volunteers and our supporters to come and join them too.

One of our wildlife medics attending a deer casualty. A sad but very common call-out for our team.

One of the many foxes we have helped using our wildlife ambulance service! This poor chap was in such a sorry state when we rescued him. Luckily he went on to make a full recovery thanks to the dedicated team at the wildlife rescue center.

Our ambulance bill from the garage stands at £4000 ! but she is a lifeline to so many animals, we simply cannot afford to operate on just one vehicle alone!

One of our brilliant wildlife medics (Abi) who together with Ruth managed to rescue this poor swan from a boggy mud pit. The swan was given some time to rest at our wildlife rescue centre before being released back to a much more suitable area :)
